Assassin's Creed 1, 2 Brotherhood and Revelation run smoothly on M1 Macs with Parallels. If you have these games on steam, you should test it with CrossOver too. r/macgaming.
If Assassins Creed 1 runs anything like 2, I wouldn't recommend anyone buy it for the 2010 13" MBP. It runs ok (its playable), not anything like the ps3 or xbox 360 which pretty much ruins the experience. But if you lower the graphic performance on the game, maybe your 13" will play the game just fine. The recently released Assassin’s Creed Valhalla runs terribly. In our review, we tested Valhalla on a gaming pc, equipped with a six-core Ryzen 3600x and the old flagship Nvidia 1080 Ti. At first, we were pretty confident that the game would run smoothly, given that our specs were more than enough for 1920×1200.- Ւ ц

Yeah, I don't think anything but the best Macs would be running it and even then it would run like crap because it's perhaps one of the most hilariously bad PC versions of a big budget game in a long time.
The only way that going to happen is my using Parallels. But based on what I’ve seen of much older Assassin Creed games if it runs at all it won’t be playable. The M1 is impressive, but it’s nowhere near powerful enough to run current AAA games, let alone in a VM. Currently playing on Macbook pro m1 via Nvidia Now.
I purchased Assassin's Creed II Deluxe Edition earlier tonight on my Mac, because Steam says I can play on Mac, with the high hopes that I might get to play a bit tonight. I try to open up the game after it's finished downloading, and it tells me that I don't have a good internet connection, even though I do. Then, I have to put my Activation Key for UPlay somewhere, only to find that Ubisoft
