Hi guys, My 2014 Focus Diesel 1.6 estate has suddenly started acting very strange and am wondering if anyone can help. So im driving along and randomly the car will just decide it doesnt want to accelerate and wont go above 55 anymore. I can cycle down through gears, even hitting 3rd at 55 and the car will not react to the drop of gear at all. The car must be driven for a few miles to correct this. The codes of the ORIGINAL injectors fitted to vehicle can be found on a label, which is fitted to the side of the engine or on the engine rocker top (if it has not yet been removed). The codes on the label are in the following format: (1&2) X1111111122222222X (3&4) X3333333344444444X An equivalent 2.0 tdci of around the same age seems to be around the £7,000-7,500 mark, less what you could get for the non runner. The easiest option to get a workable vehicle would seem to be a recon engine (if it's salvageable) or source and fit, or have fitted, a used 1.6tdci.
