The ATH-M50x are great sounding headphones with a sound that may fall in the neutral category, but with very slight boosts to the bass and highs; a slightly V-shaped sound. The bass is full and has a lot of power. The sub bass has a hint of elevation though, which can make the bass sound a bit loose on hip-hop or EDM tracks. The mids are fairly

So I purchased some Koss PortaPros a few weeks ago, and I was initially unimpressed. The highs and mids seemed to run together and I thought I had made a mistake paying $40 for them. They are EXTREMELY comfortable headphones though (so long as the headband isn't pulling your hair out!), and I found it hard to believe that all the positive
Their are actually three different "types" of porta pros (not counting the telephony, bluetooth or variable color editions), all of which use the same driver, but slightly different headbands: the original porta pro, the sporta pro, and the ksc35. All three are extremely portable (collapse very small) and come with a carrying case. The Koss Porta Pro is a small, on-ear, open back headphone, designed in the early 80’s. It has an all-metal headband with no padding whatsoever. It weighs essentially zero. The ear pads sit gently on the ears. Secondary “temporal pads” take any pressure off by resting on your head just above your ears. YAXI, an ear pad manufacturer from Japan provide a simple and affordable solution. Their Porta Pro pads aren’t using any unorthodox material such as their Alcantara line, but a soft sponge that better conforms to the ear. At a very reasonable $12, they cost more than generic offerings but provide genuine comfort and sonic benefits that

Try to change the clamp force to the lowest and maybe get taxi pads ( I don't really recommend it for you because you don't know of you even like the porta pro in it is very expressive pads) if it won't hurt maybe find in aliexpress or ebay where you can get ksc 75 clips for cheap because it will work with the porta pro drivers.

11. Yes, The Ksc-35, Sportapro and Portapro all use the same transducers. They all have the same Koss OEM part number. The oem number is stamped in white on the transducer frame to the right of the solder leads. The only difference seems to be in the wiring and the transducer casings. Overall these are a great portable headphone if you're looking for a step up from cheap in-ears. I'd still recommend the V-Moda XS (better/tougher build, better case, but also several times more expensive and to be honest, the Koss' sound better!) detachable cord, and a couple of other small things but either way you'll come away happy. Their models can cost from $9.99 (Koss ED1TC) to $499.99 (Koss x Drop ESP95x) – depending on their features. With their wide variety of products, you’ll surely find a unit that suits your needs.
